Since now renewable electricity is cheaper than conventional energy, the Fair Grid project does not need incentives nor taxpayers' money. In the long term, the price of the Fair Box will be similar to the price of a basic smart phone. A start-up financing from EU funds would be an efficient way to climate protection and could accelerate the transition to renewable energies. The cost of developing the Fair Grid software and the necessary support should be taken over by countries that want to make sure that the electricity network in the destination countries serves the entire population and not only a privileged part of the society. A software created as an "open source" would probably not be able to prevent the possible danger of manipulation.
